FORGED CARBON

Another “Industry First” for Union – Forged Carbon is the lightest and strongest material on the market today and delivers peak performing heelside response and control. Nothing else comes close.

SONICFUSED STRAPS

SonicFuse is a multilayer composite, fused together to form a single articulated strap component. A new approach to minimize stitching and increase overall durability.

EXTRUDED ALUMINUM

Extruded aluminum is one hundred percent pure and maintains its true shape no matter how much wear and tear you inflict upon it. Union was the first company to bring the extrusion process to snowboarding and remains the only one using it.

ANODIZED ALUMINUM

By increasing the thickness of the natural surface oxide layer, the anodizing process beefs up a metal’s strength by thirty percent. It’s also significantly lighter than normal hardware.

DURAFLEX™ NYLON

After a year on the market and a virtually zero warranty return rate, we've expanded our exclusive Duraflex material to three levels: Duraflex, Duraflex ST (increased fiber), and Duraflex CB (carbon injected). Customized performance has been taken to another level.

GRADE 8.8 HARDWARE

The most commonly used hardware is made from “mild steel” that has a property class of only 4.6. Considering how much stress a binding is put under, we use only the strongest steel (featuring a property class of 8.8) on ALL steel hardware.

This high-tech process produces a material four times the strength of aluminum with only half the weight. Plus magnesium is easily recycled and remains the eighth most abundant element on the planet.

MACHINED CORING

The CNC process removes excess material to decrease overall weight, while maintaining the strength and integrity of each part. This expensive and time-consuming process demonstrates our commitment to product progression.

MINIDISK

Aside from a soft EVA cushion, the only binding-to-board contact here is a small ring around the disk. A smaller disk means a smaller binding footprint. A smaller footprint allows your board to flex and perform more naturally.

VAPORLITE 2.0

Vaporlite 2.0 is the evolution of closed cell foam often featured on high-end running shoes. This water resistant, durable material maintains it's superior dampening characteristics in cold temperatures, providing a cushioned ride that can't be matched.

Our forging process makes it possible to form complex shapes in a single piece, without any wasted material. Compared to traditional, laminated carbon, Forged Carbon fibers aren’t oriented in any particular direction, which produces a much stronger finished product that can take on great impact from any direction.

Adjustment

Adjustable heelcups are key to achieving the perfect stance. By running your disk slots parallel to your board’s edge, you have a wider range of stance width options. Now you can utilize your adjustable heelcups to microadjust your toe/heel position and be set up perfectly.

Minimize any toe or heel drag by dialing in your heelcups. Simply loosen heelcup screws and slide into correct position.
